Holy crap, guys!! 10 days to go for me!! I hope no one minds, but I'm going to add all of you as friends :P I start lovenox injections in place of aspirin tonight. Not nervous...yet - just getting so excited! How is everyone else feeling? Hugs to you all!!

P.S. Sorry about all the exclamation points

Hi everyone , I'm getting the sleeve on October 18th . And I was told the sleeve doesn't help people with acid reflux , for some reason the doctor decided for sleeve . Does anyone know if the acid reflux could get better or worse with the sleeve ? Thank you

My surgery was moved from 19 to 27. Ugh. Dr on vacation. But ok! I was wondering if u guys wanted to do photos the day or week before surgery then like every month to show our progress. I was reading a different thread and some people don't see the changes others do. But regardless it's a great way to start your journey. I'll be looking forward to seeing your 4 week results. When mine happen I'll post too. Good luck October sleeves!

October 7th!! I just got approved Thursaday....I'm so excited I could cry.....

I only have to do 1 week diet, so I go Tuesday to the group diet class where I'll get my shakes and Vitamins and they will go over everything else...then Friday I will have my last appointment with my surgeon before surgery.....

My surgery is in Montreal at the Sacre Coeur Hospital. The way it works for me is that I am on a public sector list. That is why it took in total 3 years for my surgery to come about. Had I went private I could had had the surgery almost immediately. But I would it would have cost me. This way the province pays for the surgery.

Have a pre-op testing Sept.27th if all goes well I have a tentative date of Oct. 4th. Extremely nervous and excited also.

You won't have to do a pre-op diet?

After the first initial meeting with my surgeon in July, I started substituting one meal a day with the protein drink and began drinking 32-64 oz. of water. By the middle of August I increased it to two protein drinks and 64 oz. of water As of Sept .20th, I have been on the complete pre-op diet.
