So just found out that I will have my last of 12 months appt (phone call) with my insurance on May 1st. All of my documents can be sent in for approval after that. So I'm hoping to have my surgery by the end of May!!!!! Soooooo can't wait! It's killing me! lol

That's awesome!! I know that has to feel amazing to have a better idea of when everything should take place!!

The unknown is driving me nuts as well.. I'm so ready.. I should be ready to submit everything end of this month.. hopefully March I'll be on my way!!

Good stuff ladybug!! Keep pushing!!

I know how you feel. I'm 5'6" and I weigh 275. I have horrible back, knee, foot and side pain. I hate going anywhere that I know I will be walking alot, because I KNOW I will be in pain. I work in a classroom with 2 yr olds, I can no longer squat down to talk to them and I don't know if it feels worse or LOOKS worse when I get up/down on the floor to play with them. I have no confidance, I let people treat me like crap because I guess I don't feel likenI deserve better. I feel that I haven't even LIVED yet, and I am 44 yrs old. I AM READY TO START LIVING!!!!

Have you had surgery??? I wish I could do it sooner, but I have the Summers off and I want as much time as possible to get used to the changes. I hope I gain the confidance I need to quit my job and tell them exactly WHY!!!! I HATE the way I LET people treat me here.

Hey! I'm hoping for surgery (sleeve) in March/April 2017. My current weight is 240. I just completed my 2nd Nutrionist visit & 2nd Support group! I have an apt for the Cardiologist next week. And I have the education seminar January 6th, I will also be getting a date for surgery that same week!!!!

At first it felt like this process was going to take forever 6 months sounded so long but the time starts to go by! Can't believe I'm almost 3 months away from a new life I'm so anxious.

Wish you the best on your journey!

My last NUT was the 15th. All appts and blood work are completed. Now it's time to submit all paperwork to my insurance company and wait for approval. Crossing my fingers for a February surgery date. I can't wait.

Loving Me

On the 21st all be all finished with my appointments. Just the social worker for the surgeon left. Then I hope I can schedule with the surgeon and submit to insurance. I'm getting closer and getting a bit more scared that I will go through all this for nothing. I hate that they can deny in the second stage too. But Ill be happy not to have a butt ton of appointments to go to every week!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
