The pre op liquid was the hardest for me. I suggest you get the sugar free Popsicles. And also the sugar free Jello. They were life savers for me. Just keep looking ahead to the big picture .thats what kept me going .i had my surgery last week and I'm on my last day of thin liquids. It's much easier afterwards .you don't have much of an appetite. Good luck

There's a hilarious (and a tiny bit sad) thread on this site where peeps confess their indulgences. It's called (something like) "Just putting it out there so dirty little secrets can see the light of day"

I did the same ChaCha. I think I'm going to get a mani/pedi tonight to calm my nerves a little bit. I am feeling so anxious right now.

I am too. I am sitting at work and can't even concentrate, but trying not to freak out lol. I did my before picture yesterday. I should have taken it before I started the liquids as I have lost 11 pounds (I don't think it really made that much of a difference). Cant wait for my first after pic :)

I don't think I want to read that lol. I cheated a couple times on my 2 weeks, but got right back on track.

I have watched the videos over and over too. I never thought to see if I could get mine on video. Good idea. I did tell him I wanted to see my stomach they take out though...morbid curiosity, I guess

I definitely would not take zquil tonight. I don't think anyone sleeps the night before surgery. You will get enough sleep during and after.

To all my peeps that have surgery tomorrow: good luck and speedy recovery! I am so thankful for this group since everyone knows what I have to deal with and going through. Just took my dose of milk of magnesia , let the fun begin. Is it weird that I am not nervous and actually excited and anxious to get it done tomorrow and start the healing process?!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
