3 weeks post op plateau

I am only 3 weeks post op and my weight loss has stalled. Since June 1st I have lost 29lbs. I was losing an average of 1lb per day but about a week ago I started noticing that it's taking my 3 days to lose 1lb. I am not cleared to exercise yet and I walk a tremendous amount daily. I am eating exactly what I'm supposed to except for smaller portions. Has anyone experienced this at only 3 weeks post op?? Any advice helps! I am feeling very discouraged at this point.

Welcome to the infamous 3rd week stall! Just keep getting enough protein and fluids and you will be fine! Your body needs time to adjust. Congrats on your loss so far!

Stalls are a normal, natural, and necessary part of the process of losing weight. We all experience stalls and almost everyone has a stall about three weeks post-op.

Just follow your program.

Make sure you are getting at least 64 oz of Fluid.

Make sure you are reaching your Protein target every day. What is your protein target? Mine is 100 grams a day.

Take your Vitamins and supplements as directed.

Avoid starches, added sugars (especially high fructose corn syrup), and fried foods.

Exercise.

Stay off the scale.

And, Embrace the Stall
