What's your favorite chewable vitamin?

Recommended Posts

I need to get a Multivitamin and Calcium Vitamin that is chewable/suckable.

What's your favorite brand? I've tasted the fusion brand and I can barely take it down.

Surgery is 2 weeks from today!

I like BariMelts...they dissolve pretty quickly and the flavors (fruit something or other) aren't bad at all.

I agree BariMelts are edible

I have liquid Calcium from bluebonnet and the Bariatric Advantage chews. I agree with surfer girl those chewables are not bad.

The Bariatric Advantage chewable calcium tablet is gross awful. I don't think I can bring myself to finish bottle.

I wish I could find a good multi in liquid-- is that even possible? Or a b50 chewable that was not sickeningly sweet or was liquid. I have capsules for that one that I break open and it is awful tasting.

I could not tolerate he chewable Vitamins. They were chalky and nasty! I much rather swallow a pill. If you do this just remember not to take your Calcium pill at the same time as you multivitamin because it needs to absorb separately.

I have the Bariatric Fusion Vitamins, they aren't horrible but they aren't candy! Lol

Chewing 4 a day will be hard.

There are chewable tablets chalky for sure. But some tablets dissolve and not as bad. The Bari advantage chewable calcium that is not bad is the chewy like soft candy not tablet.

Quick question, I just had my surgery on the 28th and in some of my paperwork it says to start taking my Vitamins now and I read elsewhere to wait. Do I take my Vitamins while I'm on the clear liquid diet? I'm nervous to try to swallow something that isn't liquid.

My doctor said to start taking the vitamins as soon as I get home. But he said chewable/suckable only- no swallowing pills.

Yeah, I have the chewy ones that I bought from Walmart. I wasn't too worried originally but after seeing people post on here I'm nervous that they won't be good enough. They are a decent brand I thought, but I'm not sure if maybe I should seek better ones from GNC maybe? Any suggestions? And thank you for your reply.

I got my Vitamins and Calcium supplements before surgery to make sure they were ok. I was advised to start taking them when I was discharged from the hospital.

Not my favorite but cheap and effective- Flintstones with Iron in the purple bottle. Don't take gummies. Less expensive than the Bariatric versions: calcium citrate from Rainbow Light.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
