  1. I take the calcium citrate pills from costco. Two in the morning and he in the evening. They work just fine and they have Vitamin D included. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  2. I'm about seven weeks post op and I am having problems sleeping. No pain or anything like that but I just can't fall asleep . Has anyone else had this problem? I'm wondering if it is related to the surgery. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. I was sleeved on May 23rd. My surgeon has just cleared me for the pool today July 1st. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  4. I could not tolerate he chewable Vitamins. They were chalky and nasty! I much rather swallow a pill. If you do this just remember not to take your calcium pill at the same time as you multivitamin because it needs to absorb separately. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  5. I my doctor said it was ok to have Protein bars 5 weeks out. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  6. Thank you. I emailed the company and returned the Vitamins. They were really nice and are refunding me my money. I checked with my doctor and am taking vitamins I can swallow. It seems like a lot of pills but it's way better than putting up with the chalky , smelly ones. I just couldn't cope. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. I am 3 weeks post sleeve and have just started taking my vitamins. I bought the Fusion Chewable Vitamins because I thought it was all in one. I did not know that I had to chew one 4x a day! They are nasty! I only bought two bottles so I guess I have 240 to get down. Has anyone dissolved them in water to drink them ? I wonder if this would be ok. My nutrionist totally mislead me on this one! How do you get 4 a day down?
  8. Thank you everyone, guess I'll just have to buy a few and see which suits me. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  9. Can anyone tell me the best tasting Protein bar? Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  10. Thanks everyone for your input.
  11. How do you know when your stomach is full? I am going into my third week post op with just a soft diet. I have been eating the required amounts of soft food. I'm not hungry but I just want to know the signs. Thank you. Bari Blanca

  15. I am a recent post op patient of the Gastric Sleeve. I had back surgery in February and as a result of that my surgeon advised me to loose weight so my spine wouldn't collapse. I lost 45 lbs since Dec 15th. He still wanted me to lose more. He sent me to Dr. Brian Chin and I had the sleeve May 23rd. My pre surgery weight was 266 and my weight today was 255. This is difficult for me as I am a private person but I read a book written by Alex Brecher and decided I would go on this website. I am hoping that reading the stories of others will help me with my journey. It seems like a really good source for finding answers to your questions. Thank you.
