it only took mines a week after it was submitted....the insurance lady called and said I see you are scheduled for surgery...I almost passed out...lol

How long until you guys submitted stuff til you got insurance approval? My last appt is next Friday!! So I'm trying to estimate time it will take to get approval & surgery date....

Mine was submitted on June 23 and approved on June 24, the very next day. But, I didn't find out until today when I called the insurance myself because they hadn't sent the notification to the surgeon yet. But, I think 7-10 days is average from the other posts I have read.

Lol then there's mine... I went through reassessment on Thursday last week and Wednesday this week the surgeon's office still has not submitted to the insurance company. They said I should know something within the next 2.5 weeks.... So based on what I've seen here and what they told me... Anywhere from 1 day to 2.5 weeks from submission to the insurance company.

Mine took about a week to get approved and the next available appointment at my surgeons office was a week after. I was hoping for a mid July surgery date but my surgeon was all booked up until August 2nd! I'm excited!

Hello All! I'm August 4th and I'm probably gonna have some kind of panic attack before then. lol! I've switched surgeons and subsequently procedure type all over the last month. It's been a long time coming I'm just ready to get this chapter of my life rolling.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
