I hear you. I also had my sleeve surgery in August 2013 and last year I gained back about 20 lbs. My doc explained that the stomach is a muscle that stretches over time, so she recommended a "reset" (there's a 5 day and 2 week version - you can google it -- it essentially recreates the initial 8 week post-surgery diet from Clear Liquids to solids in a compressed time frame) to shrink the pouch. I did the 5 day version and lost 10 of the 20 I want to lose in the first month. I definitely get full much faster again, and it made it easier for me to get back on track. If that doesn't work, my doc discussed a combination of medications that control cravings and make it easier to get back to goal and stay there. I opted for the reset because I don't want to take medications if I can avoid it, but I will if I can't get to my goal soon because I am eager to have the Excess skin removal surgery, which will be the crowning glory from this journey. I'm interested to hear if anyone out there has tried the medication therapy yet and if so, whether it was helpful.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
