My surgery is on the 27th. The closer it gets, the more emotional I get. I am angry at myself that I got myself this unhealthy that I need this surgery. My emotions are just all over the place.

I will be sleeved june 24th. Having a hard time with preop diet. Especially at wrk.

Pre op diet at work was the worst. Better get used to it, though, because you're going to go through it with your post op diet, too.

The day before my surgery they had a ton of free food (lunch, ice cream celebration for something, Snacks, etc). It made me crazy!

Day 12 post-op....feeling good and looking great! My only regret is that I allowed my weight to soar to almost 300 pounds!!!! This was absolutely the right choice for me and I thank God for the ability to save my own life. Yay!!!

My hubby is looking at me these days with those love eyes... I smile knowing he's pleased. How long did you all wait before having sex again?

I had my EDG today... Oh my goodness I am such a baby!!! I got all emotional and started with the feelings of how did I even get to this point. I am requesting something to take the edge off day of surgery, and I hope they will approve that. I am a super emotional person!!! Anyways on a funny note... When they brought me back to the room after the procedure I told my husband the gave me 30 glasses of wine to relax me.... Lol!!!!

My wife had a panic attack and canceled her surgery on the day of. They can prescribe something to calm your nerves if you request it.

I'm day 12 and starting on soft foods. So far so good. Last night I even went out with friends and had Mexican food. I had a couple bites of guacamole and about half the meat from a taco and didn't have any problems. I felt so decadent! Ha Ha

June 16 here.. So 2 days post op. Spent the day today at the ball park.. Wasn't bad. Getting in liquids was pretty easy. Needed to start Protein but figured out the premise shakes weren't going to work but.... I added some unflavored Protein Powder to Bai coconut Water and perfect!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
