hungry
I do take an acid reducer medication. My stomach does make some noises, but mostly when digesting foods. At one of my doctor appointments that was a group appointment with about eight other ladies that had also had WLS the same week I had, I got nervous because almost all of them said they never got hungry and they had to make themselves eat.

This is Horrible...
I had my surgery on the 27th, too. My doctor put me on the purée phase on day eight. I have been eating egg beaters' yogurt' applesauce' baby food, sugar free pudding, mashed potatoes, and cottage cheese. So far, with my fluids, things have been going smoothly.

Any June sleevers out there?
My surgery is on the 27th. The closer it gets, the more emotional I get. I am angry at myself that I got myself this unhealthy that I need this surgery. My emotions are just all over the place.

Does it always take 6 months to get a date?
It took me a year to get my surgery date. Mine was unusual because I have some medical issues so they have done a lot of testing. I would suggest getting a copy of your insurance policy about bariatric surgery, then you know all requirements. There was some confusion at my hospital and it cost me several months.

Any June sleevers out there?
I start my liquid diet on June 13th and my surgery date is June 27th. After a year of medical tests and doctor appointments, I am ready. I am excited to become comfortable in my skin again. I have been uncomfortable for far too long.

Got my date! June 27th
That's my surgery date, too. Found out on Monday. It has been a long process of medical testing and doctor appointments, a year exactly. I am a medical risk, so they have been thorough. I have mixed feelings now that it is almost here. I feel excited, anxious, and terrified.

So Relieved, Glad I was Wrong - June 30 is my Date!
- The BIG Book on the Gastric Sleeve!
This is a great book for people who want to know everything about the sleeve. It takes you all the way through the process. It is a long book so allow yourself time to get through it, but it is well worth it.- How long from start to finishing
My first appointment was last July and I was just approved by insurance. I need to see my surgeon again and then we will set my surgery date up. I feel better after reading these responses because I thought it was taking forever for me to be tested.
