I'm home. I feel like I've been run over with a truck but I'm glad to be home. I've got a lot shoulder pain from the trapped air still and it's hard get comfortable. Sipping and walking though.

My surgery is June 17th for bypass. About to start my liver shrink diet (I was fortunate and my surgeon said I only need about 10 days of it, not 2-3 weeks). Super excited for this!

Surgery is Monday, June 6th. Arrival time 9 AM surgery scheduled to start at 11 AM. Been on a liver shrinking diet since May 30th. I am looking forward to getting this completed. I am so looking forward to losing the weight and being able to be more active!

I'm on Monday too - arrival at 8:40am/surgery at 10:40 am. I'm so excited to never drink Optifast again and getting on with a healthier life. Good luck on Monday!

@@Lemm61 I hope it's smooth sailing going forward.

My update is that I am home as well after surgery on thursday. I've had some waves of pain here and there. It is much harder being home than I thought.

And I think I am kind of in denial that I've done this. So weird!

Oh my goodness I'm local as well I'm having mine at Gwinnett Medical Center on June 30th 2016. I've been trying to find somebody in the area that's having that done the same month so we can keep in touch would you be interested? I have to start my 2-week liquid diet on the 16th of June. It consists of five shakes a day and any sugar-free fluids that are on the list.

I would LOVE that! I've been looking for someone going through the same thing as well. I live in Chatsworth, GA near Calhoun. I'm a type 2 diabetic which is what has put my weight on and I'm hope the surgery will reverse my diabetes. I have 2 kids. My son is 5 and has Autism. And my daughter is 11. I've been married for 10 years. This is a big life change for sure :)
