I'm both so excited and so scared about rerouting my insides so to speak. I'm not scared about where I'm going or anything like that but scared about making this huge change. My stomach in so many ways has ruled my life from lactose intolerance to acid reflux to IBS what I have chosen to put IN my mouth has had a dramatic effect on how I feel, look, participate and live. So here are my worries today, what if there are complications in the surgery? I know these are questions I will ask Dr Illan . But as the date looms closer I'm beginning to get queasy

Tomorrow is my day. I'm packed and ready. Did my bowel prep this am. I have to be at the Hospital at 9a. I'll update after Surgery if able!!!!

@Lemm61. Prayers and all good wishes with you!

It's the Morning of my Surgery. I'm excited but really nervous now. Showered and packed. My friend is picking me up in a few minutes to drive me to the Hospital. New life here I come!

Thinking of you today

Hi everyone. Had my surgery. It was rough night. Lots of vomiting and pain. Doctor is having me stay another day. I have been up walking today and I'm much less nauseas.

Thanks for updating Lemm61. I've been thinking about you and praying. I'm sorry you're having issues but rejoice that you're on the losers bench and the misery will soon be a distant memory. Keep us posted on your progress! Take care of yourself!

I also have all three of these things and my doctor said that the surgery will not affect them. Although bypass will help with the reflux.

@@Lemm61 so sorry first day was rough. Thanks for being willing to share the whole experience. Hope you are feeling better and better.

I hope all who've had or are about to have their surgery are doing well! Mine won't be until fall...
