Got home yesterday, doing good. Water is going down fine. Go 20g of Protein in for yesterday so that's good. Just adding little by little to make sure I don't hurt.

Glad you are home. Keep pushing your protein and fluids. 20 grams may seem like a lot but it isn't. You need a lot more. What are you allowed on this phase? Premier Protein has 30 grams of protein per 11 oz.

What is your protein target?

Keep sipping!

I didn't get home til 3:00 PM, I have 20g in already today on clear protein.

I had my sleeve surgery on Monday too. I'm also 53. Yesterday I felt pretty nauseated. Today I feel lot better but I'm nowhere near hitting me Protein goals.

I'm sure I will hit 40 today, and my Water will be 48 to 60. My staff says that's good for 2nd day. Don't get dehydrated. Keep plugging away. They gave me pills for nausea, that really helps.

You guys are my support because I didn't tell anyone but of course my husband. He is great, but not going through if he doesn't know what to say or how to react about the small things. Like GOT MY PROTEIN DOWN! YEA! Lol

I love the help and support available on this site. I personally know of no where else people truly understand the process.

We all tackle the road differently, yet there is unity in WLS .

I am thankful !

Feeling better today and think I may hit my Protein goals today. I have just keep sipping the various sweet things I have. I added Protein powder to a Protein Drink this morning and got a decent start. How do other people feel pain wise? I feel like I did a lot of sit-ups and now my abs are sore. Every so often I do something that pulls my stitches and that doesn't feel great either. I stayed with my bestie and her family after they let me out but I am home today.

Glad you are getting your protein in. I haven't had any pain meds since yesterday. I have pain spasms in my stomach, but I'm trying to stay away from meds because they make me feel weird. We will see. Getting all my protein in and 40 oz of Water a day. I have to stay up til 11:00pm to get all the water in right now. Can't wait for this phase to be over.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
