Vsg after laparoscopic hysterectomy

Recommended Posts

I just had an laproscopic hysterectomy at the end of March. I have scheduled my vsg to be done end of May...too soon?

as long as your surgeon knows then it is fine. I had a hysterectomy last August and my sleeve in February, but the delay was due to something else. I know someone who is having both done at the same time.

I am not sure which surgery was my favorite, they are both life changing in so many positive ways!

I was also told during my hysterectomy that I had alot of scar tissue. Do you think that will jeopardize a successful vsg?

I do not. because these things are in completely different areas. Because I have an ongoing lymph node issue in my abdomen my surgeon took a look at the lymph nodes and "vaginal stub" before he went on with the sleeve. maybe I had a slight amount more soreness from his look around, and it added a half hour or so to my surgery but was very worth the peace of mind because he felt everything looked great.

I wouldn't worry about it.

I had a hysterectomy a few years ago. Zipper cut incision. When I had vsg surgery couple mths ago dr. Said she had to remove a lot of scar tissue while doing the surgery. I have had no complications but my surgery lasted about 3 hours because of this.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
