Everyone's tastes are different. For readymade, I like Premier Protein that I get at costco. For take-along powder, Isopure or powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury.

You really just have to try several until you find what you like.

My fave (even 4 years post op) is EAS AdvanEdge RTD.

As far as powder I like Quest & EAS Lean 15

Something that I wish I knew sooner is you can COOK with Protein powder!! Flourless Protein pancakes, muffins, etc...

Many that don't like milky shakes enjoy nectar and Isopure Zero Carb

I absolutely LOVE the Premier 'ready to drink' shakes.

chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and banana.

I take one shake, a few TB of coffee crystals, and a pump or 2 of Torani sugar free syrup... and it's like a sinfully caloric coffee drink, except it's not! #proteincoffee #proteinicedcoffee

Favorite recipe RN is banana shake, salted caramel Syrup, Greek Nescafe crystals. Mix it up and toss in the freezer...

Check out the Nashua Nutrition site, they have a section where you can buy individual flavors for like $2 so you dont buy a tub of something and hate it.

@@cutefacechubbywaist They can be found in many places. Walmart, grocery stores, GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, Amazon, etc...

I find the best price on EAS AdvantEdge RTD at Walmart.

For Isopure Zero Carb and nectar, GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, etc... have a great selection of flavors to choose from.

I love the SDC About Time chocolate Peanut Butter. Throw some PB2 in there and unsweetened vanilla almond milk and it's 29 grams of Protein and tastes like a peanut butter cup.

We all have such different tastes when it comes to Protein Shakes. The shakes one person loves, another will find disgusting.

Personally, I love HealthSmart ChocoRite shakes. They have a bit less Protein than other shakes, but still acceptable (24g for 150 calories and 3 net carbs), and I think they taste amazing. They are the only shake that I've found that doesn't have a gross "protein-y" smell and aftertaste, and they aren't as sickly sweet as some of the others I've tried. They have a bunch of flavors (the yellow cake batter flavor totally tastes just like cake batter, I love the caramel mocha flavor in the mornings, and one scoop banana cream mixed with one scoop Peanut Butter is divine!) They also aren't too expensive (they are $12.99 for an 11-serving container at netrition.com, so less than $1.20 per serving.)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
