My doctor told me to wait 3 days before using my CPAP (I think). How long did you guys wait before going back to your CPAP.

I got the sleeve.

For me the CPAP is amazing and I want to get back on it.

Thanks

I used my CPAP the night of surgery, and have since. Never was instructed to do otherwise.

They told me to take mine with me to the hospital - was never instructed to not use it.

I wonder why they told you not to use it???

Same here. In fact, it was mandatory.

I had to bring mine to the recovery room and could not skip a night with it for two weeks post-op, really weird you were told otherwise.

Wow my doc told me it was mandatory to bring it to the hospital or I would not get my surgery. I don't think you should be off of it if you have bad sleep apnea.....

This doesn't make any sense, I had to have mine to avoid having pulmonary problems. My surgeon made it very clear I even had to bring it to the recovery room.

I have severe sleep apnea and I was told to bring it with me to hospital. When I was waking up in the recovery room the alarm kept going off and they kept telling me to breath because I stopped breathing a lot. I told them that I needed my cpap and once they got it on me I was fine.

I was told not to use for at least 2 weeks after surgery, although I did have to bring with me to the hospital. I have been extremely tired and I am 3 weeks post-op. I called the surgeon's office today, but did not get a real answer on whether I could use now or not. May just try it tonight to see if it helps.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
