Anyone here had their gallbladder removed at the same time they had their band put in? If you have, how long did you stay in hospital? Please let me know, this is what I am facing and I am a bit nervous. Thanks in advance

I had a hernia in the esophogas repaired , guess thats why I had acid reflux, I also had a Liver Biopsy because Of a cyst on the liver, had it looked at and it was nothing to worry about, but I kept the Gall Bladder. They did ask me howeve before surgery if I still had a Gall Bladder but guess they choose to leave it.

hi - i was banded on 7/31 and also lost the gallbladder. i didn't go in expecting that - but i haven't had any noticable problems as a result of doing so. mine was on the wrong side anyway (who knew?), it's not that scary and all of it is done laproscopically, so you won't notice any additional scaring or anything. however, it did make the surgery an overnight stay vs. the same day discharge. good luck, and don't be scared :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
