Plan ahead with your liquid diet, half of my stress came from what was I going to eat pre open and post op. And don't be afraid to ask for that pain medicine lol. I was really sore when I woke up and felt like I was going to throw up, but in time it went away. And honestly I'm still dealing with head hungers. But good luck I'll be here lol, if you have any questions.

@@roxygal1 I totally understand how you're feeling! That was my first surgery also and I regretted it entirely, but honestly 3 weeks out and it got better. Eventhough I have my partner I feel like no one would understand me unless they went through it. But don't worry I promise it gets better and it takes time, I see it like the surgery was the easy part now comes the hard part. Where I just want to eat like before and fight head hungers.

Hey there,

I am in East Brunswick and pre-op with Dr. Sadek. Going through cardiac tests this week and have my endoscopy on May 3. I requested June 29 for my surgery as I have time off for the summer. Reading up on advice from everyone and hoping to prepare myself for all the changes. Congrats to all of you already working with your new tool.

@@Reason to Believe Hey, so I took just a couple days off since I thought a month would be way too long honestly. But everyone is different, I felt alright with walking after a week and ok to work around the same time period. Good luck with everything!!

Omg @ Foxy_lady, I kno exactly how you are feeling. I had mine done on 3/7 and the regret feelings I had every day until yesterday, I think when we start feeling better from the pain most of the regrets go away. Hang in there you will feel better,

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
