I use to ride behind my husband on his motorcycle before I became such a cow. I would like to be able to do that again with confidence.

I also want to get back into dancing.

This reminds me that I need to figure out what weight milestone I want to hit before I get a new passport. I had one years ago, never used it, and never renewed it. I just talked to a good friend who is planning a destination wedding in the fall. I MAY be able to travel comfortably by then so I want to be prepared.

I would really love to wear a little black dress.... I keep dreaming though.

Say it three times and click your heels together three times and you will get there. Be sure and post a picture to the LBD thread.

Take a family picture. I even have a beautiful frame purchased for it already. It's been 4 years since I let anyone take a picture of me. That is the first thing I'm going to do.

I took a luxurious soak in the bath tub the other day. I remember the last time I got in the tunnel over 100lbs ago and I was wedged in the tub with barely any Water. It wasn't on my weight loss bucket list but it was a nice surprise.

I want to get a good LinkedIn headshot.

I am so looking forward to a good soak in the tub!

I started a tattoo on my shoulder in honor of my daddy who passed away. I want to finish the tattoo with a half sleeve but have been entirely too self-conscious to do so at my current size. Along with that self-conscious mind set, I have wanted to get my hair cut SHORT in a pixie style. I searched for ideas last night and am beside myself with anticipation/excitement. I've always used my hair as a camouflage so I'm ready to chop her off and rock a more sassy style!

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
