Thank y'all so much! I hope it's motivating and it helps to share - keeps me accountable! :)

A little nausea this evening - I think I just got too hot under my heated blanket. I had been prescribed reglan for nausea so I took one and it went away. Other than that, doing great! Still at 45g of Protein for now. liquids totaled 50 oz across the board with 23 coming from Water. I love my water bottle - it is a godsend now that I have to legit keep up with my Water intake!

I'm glad that you are doing well and are able to get in your fluids and Protein - I know you wanted to get a little more Protein in, have you tried the Isopure protein drinks? They are fruit flavored and have 40 G protein per bottle - I actually stocked up on them and intend on living on them and broth my first week

Hi! Thank you! I have two of those. I tried one before surgery and it was pretty gross. I think I'm just going to keep it at 45g for now. At least until the end of the first 14days. When I talked to my dietician she was surprised I was getting that much in! If I change my mind I might drink some of it just to put me at 50g.

Which flavors do you like? Maybe I bought the worst ones lol

So what I have found is that they taste so much better over lots of ice ????

The alpine punch, grape, blue and lemon are the only ones that I have and they aren't bad - I heard coconut is tasty, coconut is gross to me so I can't vouch for that flavor ????

What flavors do you have and have you tried them yet? I purchased the grape and passion fruit. I have tasted the grape and did not like it at all. I felt like my tongue was shriveling up...really weird so I have not tried any others.

Aw thanks! Glad to share!

Yes, it's by Thermos called the Thermos Smart Lid and he purchased it from Amazon. It's probably carried at large sporting food stores that carry Thermos products as well!!! :)

Update before bed:

51 ounces of Fluid

55g of Protein - I added a 10g Protein shake earlier

I also tried a Sf Jello cup - i guess I didn't chew it well bc it hurt going down. Clearly chew, chew, chew applies to that lol.

My SW at dr office was 288 (I thought it was 286). My surgery weight was 283.6 when I left my house that morning. My current weight is 274.6 so I'm down 9lbs since surgery. I'm officially not using my starting weight anymore, just for consistency. I'm going to use my surgery weight to track all losses from now. So yay!!! 9 lbs down! :)

Haha not your tongue shriveling. Yes I have tried them - I have the alpine punch, the lemon, the blue and the grape - they are not the best protein drinks out there but they definitely aren't the worst. My suggestion is to pour them over lots of ice, they need to be really cold. I like the fact that they have 40 G protein and intend on using them during my Clear Liquids stage

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
