I had the surgery on a Monday and went home on Thursday. It was painful (to be expected when they remove most of your stomach), but not unbearable. My advice, follow the rules so you won't relapse or injure your surgery site. It will be a major adjustment especially since you are used to eating whatever you want whenever you want. After surgery, you will have to train your self to eat and treat differently. But, I would do it all again!

Hi guys. I am one week post op today. Day 2 was the worst. I had alot of pain but my situation was a little differnt than most people. I ended up with an arterial line in my wrist and central line in my neck and drain on my right side of my abdomen. The first full day I couldnt move because of the arterial line taking blood pressures internally. So by the second day I was full of air. Thankfully the 3rd day was great and since then I have no pain and forget I even had surgery last week. Im using Isopure drinks (for protien) since it is easier to drink Clear Liquids than the creamed stuff. I am so excitrd to start my pureed diet on Thursday!

Hi, I was also 1/18 sleeve date. First follow up appointment tomorrow, should start purees! I was in more pain than I expected after surgery, but am doing better now. A week does make a big difference. Not getting 64oz/80-100 of Protein yet but I keep trying.

I had mine on January 11,2016. Would be happy to be a buddy. First week was good, then I flew home, from Mexico and this last week was terrible. Very dizzy, lightheaded and weak. I'm trying hard to follow diet but I have started eating soft foods like eggs, tuna, and cottage cheese. I'm feeling better as of yesterday, and today is going well.

It went well, the surgeon was happy with weight lost so far, 10 lbs in a week. I am cleared for purees and taking it slow with them. They for sure feel much heavier in my stomach than the liquids do. I've been getting about 56 of fluids and 70 of Protein.

I made some egg salad pureed and cauliflower puree which has been good. Planning on making chili which sounds awesome right now!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
