  2. It's finally happened! 9 months post op and I am a normal BMI! I am a healthy weight for the first time since I was a small child.
  3. 1lb ground turkey 1 can diced tomato 1 can tomato paste 1 red onion diced 1 green pepper diced 3 celery sticks chopped (I like flavorful and fragrant spices so I double up on the spices but this is what the recipe says) 1.5 tsp Cumin 1.5 tsp chili powder cayenne pepper 1.5 tsp salt 0.5 tsp black pepper I also add cayenne pepper
  4. My co-workers, close friends, and family have been nothing but supportive and encouraging. I have had some peripheral friends who have had non-reactions but nothing negative said to me. My best friend has always been heavy (it was an experience/POV that we shared and bonded over) but she lives on the other side of the world currently. I think if she were here it would be a strange transition for our relationship.
  5. Sorry I just saw this! I weigh myself every Monday though so I have my weigh ins! Goal for 10/31 158lbs (A normal BMI!!) 10/3 - 165.6 10/10 - 163.8
  6. My daughter has gotten accepted at NKU! It's 4 1/2hrs from here. Nice to meet you. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using the BariatricPal App Nice to meet you too! She will like it up here!
  7. I am from NKY! I had my surgery with Dr. Moon at St. Elizabeth
  8. RN here. I had 6 full weeks of medical leave. Getting enough water and protein in during work days was definitely a challenge at first. I would drink a protein shake on the way to work and eat lunch and a snack. It definitely got easier after a month or so. 9 months later I have now perfected my eating schedule and manage to get all my protein and most of my water in. On the drive to work I drink a shake, 9am breakfast snack, 1pm lunch, 3pm snack, then dinner when I get home.
  9. Surgery 1/18/16 down 128.4 pounds total 98.4 since surgery

  15. Thank you!! To be completely honest I have no idea what all that means! I show up twice a week and do what she tells me to do! Lol. I think it's just strength training, though.
  16. I live just across the river from Cincy!
