How much exercise do you do weekly?

I'm about 9 weeks out and I've began to exercise three times a week for about 30 to 35 mins. I was just wondering what everyone else is doing.

I work out 6 days a week sometimes 7 if you include yoga. I do a bunch of different things as I like them all so fitting them all in is sometimes hard. I do crossfit, spin classes, run 15 plus miles a

I walk 2-5 miles every day. I have to walk the dog (I got a dog right after surgery, and part of the purpose was to force me to be active). The bare minimum we do is 2 miles, if I go shopping and push

I was sleeved 8/21/2015. On the 21st of February I will be 6 months post op. I've lost 96 pounds, HW 359 CW 253 GW 150, I'm 5'8. I started walking about 1 week post op mostly 10-15min around my neighborhood now I have 2 gym memberships (Planet Fitness and YMCA) and I work out 4X a week. 75 min of cardio and usually 15 min of weights. I switch up the cardio between the bike, elliptical, arc trainer, or treadmill with the incline. Once I get in onederland and fall below 200 I'm going to cut down on the cardio and add more strength training for toning. So far I like my results. Exercising plays a big part in our success. I almost remind myself that it's a lifestyle change. Fitness is everything to me now.

Wow that's so inspiring I have a lot of weight to loose and I am being sleeved on Tuesday not long.. ???? I have bought a fit bit and I can get 5000 steps in one go now Goal is 10000 steps. I just can't imagine joining a gym in 6 months but would love to. So thank you that gives me a great deal to look forward to.

I just went through a Bariatric class which taught us about exercise goals. Our goal should first be 150mins a week of exercise. It doesn't matter how you get it, you can do 5mins here and there or set an hour or 30mins per day. Up to you! After you achieve that then set a goal for 300mins a week. As long as you are getting or working towards those minutes then you are doing well. Hope this helps.

I reached my 150 mins for the first time this week and I went to the gym 4 times. That also was my Drs goal that was set for me. I think I'll do this a couple weeks before I reset my goal. I'm 3 weeks post op and did not go to the gym regularly before.

5 weeks post op and walking 30 minutes a day. Going to check out LA Fitness today for their water aerobics classes. House to start those this week or next.

I walk when I could drive, I take stairs when I could take an elevator, I use the elliptical while watching househunters, I walk the dogs. My goal is 10,000 steps a day (usually getting around 6-7000) 20 minutes on the elliptical ( many times only getting 15) 10 minutes on the weights (most times 6 minutes) and walking the dogs around the neighborhood (if it's warm enough). When I miss one I try to make it up on the other. I like choices. :)

I want to walk 30minutes everyday without fail. I have started walking around the block takes about 20minutes..lol.. Pre op only twice a week.. So post op this is my goal.

I am a month out and I workout 7 days a week! Mon - Friday I do a leg day. Then arm/core-day. Saturday I do the elliptical for an hour! Sunday I take a yoga class!

Go Lisa_85! 1 month out I was barely able to walk 15_20min because I had zero energy. That's awesome your active 7 days a week, you should see results fast

I'm restricted from weight training for another 5 weeks. I can't wait to start training like that :)

I'm down 50Ibs. Between pre-op and post-op!

I walk 30+ minutes at least 5x a week, yoga once a week and weight train 3-4x a week.

I'm 3 1/2 weeks out and 36#s down since pre-op.

Tomorrow will be my 1 month mark. I've been walking 20 min in morning & 20 min in late afternoon for the first 3 weeks & was able to move to 30-40 min straight the 4th week. Except for today, which is the 1st day I didn't feel like walking, so I walked for 5 min!

Has anyone experienced weight gain from going to the gym? I know it's better to exercise for many reasons but boy does it ever hurt when you step on the scales and you've gained a few pounds :/

I'm 9 weeks post- surgery. My doctor told me no strength or weight training. I'm walking about 3,000-5,000 steps per day and I go to the gym 2-3 times per week and get on the treadmill and walk. My body doesn't like the elliptical or other machines (yet?) and I'm hating every minute of it, but I'm going, because I need to. I wish I had the motivation to do more. PF is the only gym I can afford right now, but it works.
