  1. So I did check with my Nutritionist and she said coconut flour in moderation is just fine! Yay!!
  2. Yeah. I had one do that to me too. Yuck!
  3. I didn't think I would freak out over a 2 day stall but here I am. I think what is bothering me is it's happening 11 days after my surgery. Is there any veterans that can relate and what did you do?
  4. First of all asking a question for the future (not 2 weeks out) isn't a red flag. Second, my surgeon advised having one drink in a social setting is fine. Everyone is different, we all have different programs and backgrounds. So please don't judge. Thus should be safe place for encouragement and inquiries.
  5. Yeah, I wasn't going to do anything this week but next month my husband retires from 22 years of service in the Air Force. So there will be a few social events hitting. I don't feel like I have to drink, never have but just didn't know if I did have one in the midst of celebrating if it was going to hurt me. I will keep everything you said in mind. Thank you!!
  6. I'm only 2 weeks out but I do have some social events coming soon. What's the rule on alcohol? I know the amount just need to know when.
  7. I can't have nuts right now but I'm sure when I can I'll use Almond Flour!
  8. Coconut Flour is grain free and we are to stay away from from grains in our first 2 mos. Do you think Coconut Flour is a healthy alternative?
  9. I'm a little over a week out and I'm so exhausted. I can't hardly function. Is this normal and will it go away??
  10. Yes, it went quite well!
  11. Yeah...I'm getting in about 56oz right now of water. Thank you!
  12. Is it OK to take a mild stimulant only one week out from surgery?
  13. Thanks for sharing! I definitely went through with it and I know it was the best decision for me! I'm glad you took a leap of faith and is sitting on the loser bench with us!!!
  14. Thank you! On a positive note I only gained 5#s from the surgery and this morning I've already lost 3 of the #s!! Yay!
  15. I feel soooo sick tonight! I felt great earlier but as the evening went on I got waaay worse. :-( I feel like I've been ran over! end rant
  16. Yes Jane13, I am recovering. I've walked a few sooo I'm on schedule they said!!
  17. My surgery is tomorrow! I'm excited and at perfect peace about this decision! I wanna say, hats off to those who had to do a 2 week liquid diet. I had to do it for 24hours and I'm dying right now lol!! Any advice from veterans would be nice. I so appreciate these forums, they are very supportive! Ready to be on the loser bench!!!
  18. I was told by my surgeon as long as you are averaging 2-10 pounds a week, you're fine.
  19. Thank you. Yeah, my surgeon prescribed me on already. But I'll definitely tape it down!!
  20. Thank you! I had multiple DVTs and PEs so when they went in to bust them up I was in the worst pain I'd ever been in my life. I kept passing out from the pain so I have more anxiety about pain then anything else!! This really helped, thank you again!!
  21. I go in on Wed the 10th for a Roux en y. I was curious if them sending home pain meds is the norm after you are released? I'm nervous about the pain part because it seems sometimes regular methods didn't help when I was hospitalized this past Aug and they ended up putting me on Diloded which helped. It was traumatising the pain I was in. So just super nervous about that part!!!
  22. I just went through a Bariatric class which taught us about exercise goals. Our goal should first be 150mins a week of exercise. It doesn't matter how you get it, you can do 5mins here and there or set an hour or 30mins per day. Up to you! After you achieve that then set a goal for 300mins a week. As long as you are getting or working towards those minutes then you are doing well. Hope this helps.
  23. Do you have a lot of excess skin?
  24. We're moving back to OKC in April. Is there any support groups there? And any dietitians as well that you would recommend? Tasha
  25. I friended you! Thank you!
