I'm at HEB witnessing the longest lines in a grocery store in my 50 years of living. I am in west texas and we get snow once, maybe twice a year. We are expecting a BLIZZARD tonight and tomorrow. Expecting 5-12" of snow. I know many of you northerners and easterners are laughing at that. You are right. We do not know how to handle it. A high of 30 tomorrow! I may not get out of bed.

I so stocked up on lots of Proteins here at the store. Beef, chicken, lots of tuna, etc. sure is a different way of shopping. A good way :). I am bad about getting stuck on eating the same stuff. I'm not creative. Sad face. I'll be looking at lots of posts to get ideas from ya'll. There is my Texan :)

I hope each of you had a very wonderful Christmas ????????????

HI @@rking!

Sorrry you are about to hit a blizzard. nice to see you are eating solid foods. On what date was your surgery again? Mine was on Nov 17th, and I have been eating solid foods for about 10 days now. My weight loss is also slowing down. I probably need more calories because I have been walking for about 40-50 minutes a week also.

Anyway I love to eat the Starkist Thai tuna that comes in a pouch. It is really good.

Keep warm. :)

Well I've lost a total of 18 lbs since the 17th. Was 218. Hit a stall about a week and a half ago. I use My Fitness Pal, and I have a Fitbit and an Aria scale. According to my stats I should be losing around two lbs a week. I meant to say in my past post that I am walking about 3 days a week for 30-40 minutes. I think I need to raise my caloric intake. I've been drinking Water now though, and I am urniating normally. What about you? Did you stall at all? If you did how long did it last before you started losing again?

I was 215 the day of surgery. I am now 192.9. YES I got a stall for about 12 days. I am losing again, not quickly like I was used to, but it's still moving so I'm happy.

Yes, lots of babies but thank god it won't be me! Hahaha

Hey @@rking I was thinking about you. How much snow did you get?

I walked for an hour today, and have decided to tighten up on my carb intake, increase my Protein, and drink a ton of water! Do you have a treadmill at home or some aerobic tapes?

@@Pea523 looks like about 6 inches at my house. I love it. Still snowing. I don't know if we have ever had this much. I am jealous of you being in Houston. Love the south. It was about 70 here friday and Saturday. Had to throw in a pic of my roses that bloomed a couple of weeks ago haha.

How are things going for you? I was really concerned about getting 75-100 g of Protein but seems like it's going to be ok. Still really have to work on Water though.

You a Texans fan?

@@Dub they did great today!!!!!!

Wait wait wait. I am jealous of you @sparticus414. You are by Houston!!

Sorry Pea523 :). Wow! That is incredible! Yes, I have an elliptical but have not been on it. Ok, everyone, scold me!!! I haven't walked in days. Bad, bad girl. Actually, I walked at the mall and shopping quite a bit so that counts for something. I really intended to spend my two weeks off really getting after it....... Hmmmm. I know I need to.

I am so proud of you for doing so well! Wish we lived close so you could get my butt to go with you. I can actually start weights this week. Need to hit the YMCA tomorrow. You motivate me!!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
