Have any of the Feb 16th sleevers gotten your pre-op diet? I got mine last week it is pretty doable; low carb (30-45 per day) then nothing after 10pm on the 15th.

I don't start my preop diet til the 2nd

Hi my fellow Feb 1 sleevers ...I am so trying to get my house in order and head in order for this surgery ....my start weight was 217 I am down to 208 as of this morning from the pre op diet my goal is 145 -150 for this summer so I can feel good on the beach ... I have a 15 year old son who loves momma's cooking but had to stock up on food he can enjoy while I am out of commission ...my husband died several years ago so it just me and him and my daughter in college who is extremely supportive .... As of anyone else I decided to keep that to myself ... Did not want anyone trying to talk me out of the surgery and thinking I am just lazy trying this method! I am a breast cancer survivor and this is my first defense against re-occurance I will look forward to hearing how everyone's post surgery goes ...I report to the hospital at 630 am then wake up to my new life ! Good luck everyone

February first! In one day.

I am feeling like I'm in a dream. I'm Catholic, I have my positive books to take, I went to fill my holy waters, I received the sacrement of anointing of the sick today and went to Mass. I am so grateful for the people around me who BELIEVE. I know I can expect him to be with my always and continue healing me.

I am not hungry right now. I am just tired. I know I will be in a lot of pain that morning because we go and wait 3 hours and I can not take a single thing besides BP meds. Not coffee, (been off it now for a week) no meds, I'll be shriveled in a ball, so I think the time will pass rather melodramatically! Or I may be blessed with a relaxed sensation until I go in.

I don't know any of you. But I know what you're all feeling, so you are my comrades! And I need you all! And I thank you all for every reply and everything you post because it is going to help me make it. You are very wonderful and special women and men and I am so happy I just sighed up here!

FEBRUARY HERE WE COME!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
