Hi! I had surgery on 8/22/14, and have lost over 90 pounds! My surgery weight was 235, and now I'm 143-144 depending on the day :)

Other than some complications with reflux, it's been pretty easy. I was a bit of a slow loser, but none of that matters at this point :) I'm just learning to live in maintenence, and that's a whole new experience. Congrats on your loss! I'm so happy I did it!

Congrats on your success! That is an awesome loss! I'm 2 years post op (and a couple months) and I've lost 145 pounds and have been maintaining below my goal weight for over a year. It's always good to hear the success stories to remind us that it is indeed possible and possible long-term :-)

I had my surgery September 2014. I have lost 87 pounds. Starting weight was 222. Current weight this morning 135. Best decision I have ever made. My journey was very easy. No complications all.

It is awesome for all of us! I started out at 332.8 and I am now an even 210 lbs. it's amazing! The best part is buying new clothes. I now have fashion sense! Haha. I do have some reflux problems as well but hey I will take that.

one month after my sleeve

i turned 58 years OLD

235 lbs

next month i turn 62 years YOUNG

130 lbs GOAL

(actually i am 6.3 lbs over goal now)

little temporary setback

please don't tell anyone ;)

"they" lied about saving money since we don't go out to eat

the money i've "saved" - all went to my crossover addiction

SHOPPING LOL

sounds like you know what i mean!!

i have had my share of ups and downs, stalls, frustration etc etc

all those issues don't compare to the way i feel now

that's my story and i'm stickin' to it

Hi, Anthony. I was sleeved 8-18-2014, am now almost 15 months post-op, have lost 98 pounds and am now maintaining at 138 pounds.

I eat what I want -- and at least 1700 cals/day. I have learned so much about nutrition, eat well, follow all my new eating behaviors. I do still plan and track my food most days on My Fitness Pal, and I move and walk so much more than I used to.

I look so cute (!), and I'm loving my life. This surgery was just amazingly wonderful for me. The future's so bright I'm wearing shades every day!

(I'm 70 years old.)

Oh yeah I know about shopping haha. I pretty much do what I want too it's pretty awesome! It's great to feel different and better about myself. A couple of negatives that maybe you guys have dealt with. Dating is a little weird now. My family never thinks I eat enough ( they are all overweight and obese as I was). They push me to try and eat it's hard to explain to them otherwise. In the beginning it was frustrating buying clothes and then they would not fit in a month ( I know not really a problem). Pretty small problems to deal with. I gladly do it everyday and would make the same decision again

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
