Anyone else have a surgery date of November 13?

Recommended Posts

Good Morning All,

My surgery on the 13th went well. And today is 4 days post. Wouldn't you figure I would be trying to go back to work today. Well, honestly I feel okay physically. I do get the urge to vomit every now and again but I am working on that. Apple juice helps...working on getting the rest of the post op diet to work, since apple juice is the only thing seems to want to stay down. Going to try a Protein shake for Breakfast to see if we can get some stability.

Feisty, I was told to stay away from acidic flavored, orange and lime. I did really well at work, had a nap when I got home though. I managed to down most of a vanilla Protein Shake and sip apple juice and crystal light all day. Regarding Vitamins, my doctor says give it a few days, focus on finishing the antibiotic first, then add it vitamins. Which I will begin tomorrow or the next day. The antibiotic is horrible by the way : ). Anybody weigh in to see if they are losing the Water from op.

Ritchey, I am glad you are feeling better as well. The nausea was better yesterday afternoon. I have been sleeping with a heating pad which has been helping with something-couldn't tell you whether it is the gas, or nausea or ...but it helps. I actually went grocery shopping yesterday and found the ice pops they told me I should keep on hand. This is awesome because they usually only have them in the summer. Can anyone else believe they had surgery 5 days ago? I mean, the pain is minimal, I am up moving around quite well. I mean aside from getting nauseous spontaneously or being on edge when you have to pass gas and there is not a restroom near, I feel pretty freaking great.

Mia,so far I'm down a little over 5 lbs since surgery but still on full liquid diet. I just can't seem to drink enough so hopefully tomorrow the Dr will release me to add other things because I'm so freaking tired. It seems like I have a cup upto my mouth 1/2 the day and mucho stays full. Lol I don't even understand it. I'm probably taking in maybe 16 oz a day . I wishi could just hook up to if fluids here at the house and not have to worryabout it. I went grocery shopping last night and found 3 different sugar free popsicles that look tasty just haven't felt up to trying one yet. They did have a Sugar Free Chocolate onNext »

You got this!! I'm excited to hit the 227 mark (not far from it now but that's the smallest I had been able to get down to since having kids. And it had been a while since I was even close to that weight. 281 when my primary referred me to the obesity Dr 6 /7 months

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
