I HAD MY VSG IN JANUARY 2015, I'VE LOST OVER 120 LBS ALL TOGETHER. THIS WEEK I NOTICED THAT MY THIGHS ARE BLUISH IN COLOR. I HAVEN'T INJURED THEM AND I'M NOT COLD. I HAVE BEEN SPEED WALKING AND JOGGING BUT I DON'T THINK THAT WOULD CAUSE IT. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY INSIGHT??? THANKS A BUNCH!

I would see a doctor as soon as you can for it. Could be Cyanosis or a circulation issue.

Is it cold where you live right now? Few things it could be....Cold exposure symptoms include color changes on the skin, numbness, stinging, redness, blisters, and more.

Raynaud phenomenon is another possibility Raynaud's phenomenon causes color changes, coldness, tingling, and numbness in certain parts of the body. Venous insufficiency, Venous insufficiency causes pain, aching, skin rashes, and swelling in the legs also the oh so lovely Acrocyanosis, Symptoms of acrocyanosis include blue mottled skin of the hands and feet, cold hands, cold feet, and more. That's just a few possibilities. Listen to @@Babbs and call your physician to be safe.

Definitely get it checked out.

Just a thought, though...you haven't tried on any brand-new blue jeans lately, have you?

This has happened to me and I totally freaked out.

With my weight loss all the gnarly varicose veins I have are way more visible and I have lots of bruisy looking places.

I have had the blue jeans thing happen to me too!! I freaked out. I had just changed from my jeans to sleep shorts and was sitting in bed and noticed my legs and hands were blue. I finally realized it was from my jeans. I had been touching them with my hands. I was SO relieved!! LOL

WELL, AFTER MUCH RESEARCH AND SUSPISION, I'VE CHALKED IT UP TO Vitamin K. EASILY BRUISING, BRUISES THAT TAKE FOREVER TO GO AWAY, BLEEDING GUMS, AND BLUISH AREAS ON THE SKIN.

Have you verified this with a blood test? If you are low on K are you taking supplements?

One of the supplements I take is a D+K dot. I get it from Drugstore.com.

yes I added it this weekend, haven't verified with blood test, have an appointment soon, it can wait till then. I will look those d+k dots up. Thanks!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
