I was sleeved on the 26th so I'm like two or three days out I'm not sure. I feel pretty good and I've gotten up and done laundry and showered and sip sip sipping but I am resting a lot. I hope that's OK. Getting a little bored but not really feeling like talking to people or doing anything complicated.

I was sleeved on the 22nd. I got up and walked around my apartment about 5-10 minutes every few hours. They suggested every hour but I was sleeping a lot those first few days. I slowly started working my way up and I walk about 15 minutes every two hours. Pain meds still make me a little sleepy so I rest periodically but I'm up and moving (dishes, cleaning, etc) whenever I can. I also go to the store with my boyfriend to walk around.

I didn't really want to hang out with people either. It's trying to really focus on yourself. It's a little too much for me to make sure I'm drinking and walking while around others.

I was getting up every couple of hours and walking through the house 5-10 minutes with a SF popsicle. It felt good to chew/bite the ice and walk around.

I was pretty much doing that and I would take a walk in the afternoons for about 20 - 30 minutes, mostly because I was bored.

I was sleeved on the 13th, the 14th I was very sore, but was still up walking and have cooked dinner for my family every night because I am very board. I really want to go back to work but am a bedside nurse and really know it wouldn't be safe if I have to be lifting people. As long as you are minding your doctors lifting limits, getting your Water in and testing when you feel you need to you are probably doing great.

I was definitely still resting a lot in those early days. My doctor's instructions were to walk 30 minutes per day (outside of normal walking around). I couldn't do the full 30 minutes in one walk so I did three 10 minute walks throughout the day. I got up to shower but pretty much stayed in my recliner and rested the rest of the day.

Walking around the house every two hours. Near constant sipping of Water. Watching a LOT of television.....getting caught up on the shows and movies I wanted to see.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
