Zero patience and an abundance of excitement

Recommended Posts

I haven't even met my surgeon and I am already overwhelmed with excitement about my possible "healthy" future. I am totally trying not to get my hopes up since you never know what insurance will do and that will be my largest hurdle. Please tell me I'm not the only one acting like a 12 year old school girl sitting next to her crush!

same here...I keep calling my insurance every 2-3 days asking for status on whether I have been approved or not. The surgeon's office said they will call me with an update but I just can't wait lol. Be optimistic and hope for the best :)

I meet my surgeon exactly 3 weeks from today. I also meet the nutritionist while there. November is also my last month of the supervised weight loss program. So all I foresee myself needing to complete is the EGD, upper abdomen ultrasound and psych eval. I'm ready to get my papers submitted already!!

Let us know what they say about yours! When did they submit your information? And what insurance do you have, @"Lexigurl82" ?

I was like that for a whole year while I finished my requirements. The feeling doesn't go away, and the results are worth waiting for. ????

I keep telling myself, positive thoughts = positive results. I really only see my insurance being a barrier since you never know what they're going to do. But I've met all requirements so I'm confident that they'll approve me. Just ready to get further in the process. My surgeon was going to be out of the office, which is why I had to schedule 3 weeks out. I imagine that once I get in there, things will quickly take off. Eeek!

I feel the same way!!!! I'm geeking out every day. I cannot stay off this website or my secret Bariatric Facebook page whenever I'm home. I'm poor and don't have insurance slim going to Mexico December 28h for my sleeve on the 29th. It's the best Christmas present and the best way to start a new year. I'm so happy, excited, terrified, anxious, worried it won't work on me. Message me anytime if you want to geek out together.

@@sassyfrass23 I was approved! I have Aetna and my surgeon's office submitted paperwork to Aetna around October 14th. A week later I was approved. My surgery date is set for 12/2/2015. Have you heard anything? If not, continue to be proactive and hope for the best. Good luck and let us know how everything goes! :)

I have my follow up appointment with the surgeon on Monday and then they will submit everything to

Aetna. With Aetna you're not suppose to gain any weight. Does the surgeon submit your weight at the time of your first appointment? Or does the surgeon submit start and end weight all at the same time?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
