I'm almost 3 weeks out and I was wondering if anyone has tried milk.

I'm struggling to get my Protein in and I noticed my milk has 8g of protein and maybe should add some Protein powder to it.

It's a little high in sugar (12g) but I was wondering if anyone has had any? The kind I have is 1%.

I drink four ounces of Fairlife 2% twice a day. Some days plain, other days with Protein Powder and I love it! It is a staple in my fridge and I hope it never goes away.

Fairlife is so good… I was a big skim milk drinker and worried about not being able to tolerate milk after the surgery. I've had the Fairlife chocolate before, but I bought some white and about died. So creamy and yummy! Better for you, too!

Milk is full of sugar.

I've bought my last gallon of it weeks before I started the pre-op diet.

The Protein shakes all mix just fine with Water as far as I am concerned.

@@LoseItKacy I was sleeved 9/30 as well. I mix all my Protein powder with milk. It gives me more protein and makes them taste much better for me. My surgeon approves milk and I still stay within my calorie range.

Have you been able to reach your NUT?

I hope you are feeling better soon.

I love milk. But am severely lactose intolerant since surgery 2/2015. My doc told me to keep trying it once in awhile to see if I can readjust but so far, no luck. Yogurt has been a good substitute. I need to try the lactose free milk, but just can't imagine it being the same. Milk has been ok with my doc since day one due to the nutritional value, even with the sugar content.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
