Looks like we're sleeve brothers. I just got my clearance email yesterday. I guess my first official shift will be Monday. Austin, Texas here. I hope you're well! Stay in touch!

I went back to work after 3 weeks. I was having some pain for my first few shifts and I was pretty week. It wasn't that bad though. Even before my sleeve I never ate a lot at work. And I still don't now. I do drink a lot of calories when I get sleepy which is probably the worst part, but I have to be alert.

I would pretty much fast during my 12 hour shifts except for Water. That has to change now, after surgery. I'll just add more water and boost Protein. I take Adderall for wakefulness and that also acts as an appetite suppressant so I sometimes have to embeber l remember to eat. My partner usually takes care of that part though. Lol

Thanks. When was your surgery? I'm trying to preplan with Water and Premier Protein shakes. I typically work two busy 12s and one slow 24. We'll see how it goes. At least it's not summertime!

How'd it go? My surgery was last of Oct so I'm looking at going back around Christmas. And you're right about the time of year, I thought the same thing. I'm a big sweater in the summertime. Would be easier to get dehydrated then.
I just had my first shift back last night and I did great! It'll take some conditioning, but I think I'll be fine.

I work in a day surgery unit. It's a busy unit but not a lot of lifting or anything. I had the surgery on a Friday and only took 9 days off (I took one week and went back the following Monday). Although I was tired, as long as I got my fluids in, I was fine. Just napped when I got home!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
