Recommended Posts

Hi everyone I'm new to this forum, I'm 22 and have a beautiful 7 month old.. Not long after getting pregnant and realising my appetite had increased i started putting weight on.. So I started at 165kg, got to 102, got pregnant and I'm 125kg now :( has anyone had the sleeve redo, OR tried duromine?

Seems to me you are a perfect weight. Never heard of duromine

Diet pills are at best a temporary fix and dangerous on your heart. I would start with seeing a bariatric doctor and getting their opinion.

Sorry, I read it as lbs, not Kgs... No, I agree - diet pills are not the way to go... I'm 3 years out today and have put on 14lbs since my lowest weight - I'm not a happy cookie with this either. Trying to get back onto a good (no bad snacking) plan

I am 2 1/2 years post op and I gained 30 lbs this past year. Due to life circumstances I fell off track. (Mom diagnosed with cancer. She has good days and bad days so I take it one day at a time) I have been trying to get back on track and I have trouble exercising due to low hemoglobin levels I get too tired. I'm thinking about trying Qsymia, a prescription weight loss pill just to help get me jump started. I know people that have lost 20-30 lbs with it and feel great.

I would suggest talking with your bariatric team/NUT/PCP, and going back to basics before even considering anything a drastic as diet pills or a new surgery.

It may just be a matter of refocusing and recommitting to your program, which you can do! You have come so far already.

Embrace the Stall! (Which can apply to weight gain.)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
