LBT in Vegas FEB '08

Recommended Posts

"Interested in a gathering" established that Vegas is the destination of choice for LBT to meet.

So it's going to happen in Feb next year.

I'm thinking the first weekend of the month.

Chimboree are you still on board for helping coordinate this? Lori Ann? Others?

We can work as a group to set the details and get this ball ROLLING!

I'm started to recruit volunteers to organize this event. Send me an email at juligirl01@sbcglobal.net

Mark your calendars for February 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

If you have a favorite place to stay in Vegas and want to suggest it, please tell us on this thread.

If there is a "MUST DO" activity you think would fit the group, add that as well.

Thanks everyone!

I'm definitely interested!!!

Based on location and price, I can recommend Bally's, Flamingo or Harrah's. If you want more upscale then Paris or Mirage. If you're not worried about location and more interested in value, then I'd suggest Luxor or Golden Nugget. The Luxor or Bally's is probably a good choice based on all factors considered. If folks will be bringing their kids along, I'd suggest New York New York.

I do know from previous calls that the Harrah's chain (which includes Ballys, Paris and Caesar's Palace & others ?) requires 21 rooms for a block. Otherwise you get the usual prices as found online.

Consider me there! :whoo: I can also help with arrangements if and when you need me. My recommendation on where to stay would be Bally's. It's reasonably priced and centrally located. Although, since we probably won't be doing much sleeping or spending time in the room, we could go even cheaper, and then I'd suggest The Gold Coast.

Hey Planner People

Thanks for the emails!

I'll create a group after a few days so we'll all be talking to each other.

I'm looking for us to all get into a chat room next week Monday night to wrap our hands around this.

I can do anywhere from 7-10 pm EST. Tell me what works for you. I could do later on Tuesday too.

Thanks,

Juli

I have your email on my list! I'll be sending out a group email on Sunday. I'm waiting until then to see how many more volunteers pop up. Though we have 6 already! Which is amazing.

I expect we'll be a group of 30-50 people, including spouces...easily we can get a block of rooms.

Thanks so much!!!!!!!!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
