I had to wait a few months Til I had money for new clothes but here it is, me in my old green 7x scrubs and in my new 3x grey scrubs, I could of gone with a 2x as you can see, but I was already excited and would of stressed if the 2x would have been tight, 93lbs to goal weight and going strong even on this small stall...... For you Elode as promised, thanks for your support!!!!post-254362-14433822423742_thumb.jpg post-254362-14433822604375_thumb.jpg

I thought I would be embarrassed initially by comments on my weight loss, but it's actually awesome, I plan to keep the old scrubs and go to them whenever I lose my mind set, and I've kept all my promises, I even talked one of my wife's friends into having it, as I found out last night, she is going with my surgeon and I promised to be there to her Til after a few months out of surgery, ironically I wanted to keep my humility by giving and plan to continue in doing so........

I'm keeping one dress from my highest weight as a reminder.

@Blerdgirl: so it's not a bad idea to keep your biggest clothing??? Someone said I should have a goodbye party and burn it, but I keep thinking that if I can go back from time to time it will keep me grounded

You look great! Well done!

I dont think it is a bad thing at all to keep a pre-surgery item of clothing. I kept one pair of jeans. It is nice to try them on occasionally and see just how much difference the loss has made. Pictures work, but there is something so tangible and real to hold up those big pants and think that they used to fit... and remember how much we never want to go there again. Trying them on is a great way to realize the progress and stay motivated!

That's awesome! Way to go!!! I kept one outfit at my largest size and blank fit in one leg of my pants and can wear my shirt as a long baggy belted dress. I think one set is great then get rid of the rest!

Awesome job!! You look fantastic!! I also am going to keep my biggest pair of jeans as a reminder of what I never want to be again. It will help motivate me when I get discouraged.

Congratulations! Pictures such as yours are so inspirational. If you don't keep the scrubs, at least keep these photos as a reminder of how far you've come.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
