Any Oct 6 Sleevers out there?

Recommended Posts

So I am 17 days post-op and I am lagging way behind most of you in the actual weight lost department. Not sure its a stall since I never really started. I've lost 6 lbs since surgery (I lost the same amount the week before surgery on a cleat liquid diet for 3 of those days). Starting to think they did something wrong or did not remove enough of my stomach or something. I have had NO problems getting enough liquids/proteins or eating anything I have tried.

My dr told me to lose slower and to make sure I exercised as I lost so I would have less lose skin.

I've had about the same weight loss and no problems with foods or liquids. I feel restriction now that I can have soft foods but I know how you feel. Lost 9 lbs 2 weeks after surgery and nothing this past week. 6 lbs is a good deal to lose in 2.5 weeks. Give yourself some credit for that and enjoy it. The weight will keep coming off. Maybe just more steadily, which is fine too.

My weight loss has slowed down. About one pound every three days and that should be about normal. Since surgery day I have lost 14 pounds. I knew it was going to slow. Everyone's weight loss is going to be different. Getting out walking for an hour everyday will help. Stay the course Rdub!

My doc told me that I would be a slower loser since I had already lost 65lbs previous to me doing the surgery with lifestyle change and exercise. Each of our journeys will differ. Slow and steady is always best. It took me a while to get these hips so I am ok if it takes me a little while to get rid of them. I want my health, not necessarily a size or a weight. Keep on going strong...you will get to goal soon enough!

That's a lot of Protein. Is your hair falling out at all? A guy's dream diet meat meat and more meat. In Alabama you can keep an eye out for road kill. It is socially accepted there as a great source of protein. You will need to get up early or the good ones will be scrapped up already.????

no hair loss..actually it is growing..I asked twice about protein and he said if I wanted to continue to lose eat lots of good protein 75% & 25% of complex carbs. I'm still at soft foods

This comes in several flavors

I think those packages are perfect. I do believe they have chicken ones to. Smoked salmon is good also. If anyone has good ideas let us know

Really hard to imagine what "the good ones" means in this context...

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
