Unlike some of you (apparently), I was told to be on a clear liquid diet for the first week post-surgery. Combine that with the clear liquid before the surgery and I'm left wonder: what am I expected to "dump"?

So excited to be getting these updates!

Retrieverguy, you seem to be really progressing!

Chrys129, CapeCrooner, Sleeve, and Thinner- How are you all getting along?

I'm doing pretty good. I can't wait until the incisions are no longer sore. I'm trying to walk but it's hard because all I want to do is sleep. I drank 32 oz yesterday and had 2 sugar free popsicles. My goal is to drink 48 oz today. How have you been?

I am VERY sore around my incisions. The bruising is just spreading. I am shocked how well I am getting my liquids/protein in. Day by day...better and better. I am just starting to get cabin fever. Lol

Wowsers! That's a lot of bruising. Looks painful! How many ounces are you getting in? Of that, how many is Protein? I only drank 32 oz yesterday, all clear protein. I'm about tired of the Protein Drinks already. I just want plain Water but I know I need more than that...

Sleevegirl - what are you using for clear Protein Drink? I've been using colored Isopure, but having found anything clear to this point.

Curious, and maybe hopeful for something better than Isopure.

Side note: The family bought me an ice shaving machine. Today I'm going to try to make some Isopure shave ice, or something similar. Hope it's OK!

Isopure is considered clear because you can see through it. I was using the nectar protein. They have strawberry kiwi, fuzzy navel, and caribbean cooler flavor that is pretty good. They taste way better than Isopure. Today my nutritionist told me to start full liquids. She said it is healthier. She gave me 4 recipes for protein smoothies that I can whip in the blender. I'm excited to try them!

Day four and drinking is way easier. Getting 64 oz is no problem just have to keep that water bottle in hand. Started my Protein Shakes with skim milk. Life is so much better today. Bowl movements are like Jello and if you have to go don't delay find the nearest restroom. Swallowing pills was rough at first but by day four not an issue. Hope this helps for those getting sleeved this weekend. Marcia and Nancy you can do it! October sixers did not for get you. Keep us informed.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
