I'm drinking small sips. Start slow and every 15 minutes. I had two leak test before I left the hospital. I am hitting the tired phase now. I have been told my energy will go way up after three or four weeks. Good to hear from Mommomi.

If you are not sipping Water you will get yourself in trouble. Do what the doctor said to do. START DRINKING!

I have 3oz bathroom cups and been sipping on them all morning. My suggestion would be when you can to get a dry erase board and track your ounces.

Surgery completed on the 6th (7:30 am), out the door at noon today. A little sore, but moving forward.

All Water, but two little blobs of Jello just before I left the hospital. I didn't remembering liking jello in the past, and it isn't any better now. Ah well - I'm looking forward to trying some broth tomorrow.

So excited to be getting these updates!

Retrieverguy, you seem to be really progressing!

Chrys129, CapeCrooner, Sleeve, and Thinner- How are you all getting along?

Doing pretty well. Today was the first day I didn't sleep all day! I'm not using the pain meds much. My biggest worry is getting in all of the liquids! I've only had about 190 calories today so far. Not sure how I'm going to do it.

Home from the hospital (Thursday after Tuesday Surgery). No real pain, just getting use to my new baby stomach. I had 2 ounces of Tomato Soup and after 20 minutes, I put a 24 ounce water bottle by my side.

I had been sipping for about 90 minutes when I looked over and noticed I had drank almost half of it. Now by belly feels tight, so I'm taking an hour off!

Anyone concerned about drinking too much Water (Yes, I am sipping...)

Not bad at all, really. Only hurts when I'm trying to lay down. I've seen that other people are doing their sleeping in a recliner - I'm gonna try that this evening. Really looking forward to a bit of broth tonight!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
