I carried all my weight in my butt an thighs. Even after 145 pound weight loss my thighs still have to much fat for thigh lift. The Dr. said he would do Lipo and that would take away some of the "bulk". Thigh still look big in pants and when I sit they spread over two states. The problem is that they are already lumpy and he said it could make it worse. I've talked to one person already who said they were so lumpy she had to wear Spanx under her yoga pants. Are there any other experiences out there? Would you do just the lipo, or leave the bulk? Lumpy but able to in to pants, or bulk that still makes my thighs look big with my smaller waist. I'm so conflicted.

Thanks

I'm having a similar problem. I had liposuction on my abdomen and arms (before the sleeve, actually). As I have lost so much weights, the abdominal area looks great. My arms are still slightly lumpy, so I'm hesitant about getting the thighs done. Ultimately, once so hit my weight loss goal, if I'm still unhappy, I plan to have the thighs done and "touch up" the arms and stomach.

I have had a similar experience with where I carry my weight and I'm out over 3.5 years and honestly it is getting worse. I've only gained a couple pounds since hitting goal but they are all turning into lumpy cottage cheese and same "shaping" as before surgery just smaller. I'm very curious to see what you find out and I'll do the same as I start exploring. Good luck and congrats on your success!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
