Never in my life did I think I would share this!

I was just looking at a picture of my daughter (14) and I from our day out Sunday and just realized we kinda look like we could be related, which is odd because everyone always said she looked adopted. Probably because she is thin. Now that I've lost the weight she looks like my daughter apparently. Ha! Just a realization. This is just too much fun! I feel like I have a whole new life.

I'm so happy for you. I remember when I was trying to lose weight some stupid diet book said to put tape over the scale and the write the number you want to be on it. Ha! The power of visualization. How ridiculous.

No need for you to do that anymore is there? :)

The number on my scale still trips me out as well. It's hard to believe. I'm so happy for you and your success.

Congrats to all of you. I had my surgery May 12th 2015. Starting weight was 271. Day of surgery 265. I weigh myself this morning. I'm 195. 70lbs in 4 months I'm so so happy about that. My doctor said I'm doing very well. I should be at goal by the end of the year. My goal is 150. 45lbs to go. It's very hard but well worth it I'm so glad I had this surgery.

@@mallen1895 Congrats on your success so far that's wonderful!

@@bellabloom Ha! I've never heard of doing that. I try to stay off the scale as much as I can so I won't be decorating it. :)

@@proudgrammy You're so silly!! I hope everyone sees less of me! I'm sure to some people 166.4 is still big but not to me! It may as well say 120 :) I'm also 5'8. I should change my goal but I don't know if it's even necessary I'm just going to let this body take me where it wants to go. No pressure in that!

First, congratulations!!!! I know what you mean about people may think a certain weight is still "big", but so many factors go into it. Your attitude about it all is inspiring to me. I love your posts. Keep on keeping on, girl!!

Sorry it took so long to respond I was spending the day with my middle daughter trying on school dance dresses....yes, both of us (me for fun) I never got to go to prom, I was pregnant with her sister at that time so today I got to "semi" live a part of that. We had so much fun and I'm positive I would have looked better toady in a dress than I ever would have back then. She's one of my major inspirations. She says things that brighten my world without even knowing it like in this picture today she said "Mom Look how easily my arms fit around your tiny waist". Priceless!

This right here was such a cool moment. Thanks for sharing. Love the compliment your daughter gave you. Totally priceless. ????

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
