Sitting here in TJ trying to fall asleep.

Tomorrow the driver picks me up at 645 to take me to the hospital. 8am is my surgery time.

Nerves have been flushing through me all day from the moment that I was given my concent forms to sign.

Then the hospital gave me he option to have my surgery from Friday moved to tomorrow .... I jumped at the chance.

My head is pounding, my tummy is growling and I am so nervous.

Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of my life.....

Good Night !!!!!

You're going to be fine. Try to get some sleep. If you can't, drink a shot of tequila before your midnight deadline! I can't wait to hear you talk about how everything went smoothly. Goodnight.

I can't even count the amount of bottles of Water I drank the past 5 hours and I stopped counting how many times I peed after the 8th time.

chicken broth was exceptional and the ice cubes are soft enough to chew graciously. Spent 2 hrs in the bar listening to the live band, watching my mum have her gin while knawed on glass after glass of ice.

Great night together.

Excellent post. My thoughts are with everyone getting surgery today. Just remember while the pain does suck, getting healthy and looking great are worth it. The pain is temporary but it will add decades to your life.

I had my surgery yesterday at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan, with Dr. Kevin Krause. So far it has gone very well. Minimal pain. Still just on ice chips but start clear liquids later this morning. I'm very excited!

Glad to hear you're doing well so far!

Gas pains are dreadful. The vomiting is so painful and the pain medication causes the nausea.

It has been awful so far.

I don't see walking make any difference with the gas.

I want to go home.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
