Had My Surgery Tuesday August 25th

Recommended Posts

Y

I had surgery the 19 and have not had one issue with my recovery. I lost quite a bit of weight during my 8 months insurance preop but have not lost a huge amount since and it seems disappointing. I eat so little that I was hoping it to come off as fast as I could put it on in the past.

Have others had these issues? Weight loss before and slow loss after?

Just had 1 week check up and they were so happy I had no issues at all.

yea I was sleeved 8/27 only lost 15 since and now I'm stuck.

The weight will come off guys. ..I made a few little bad bites cause I am so Fricking hungry since 5 days post op and literally fell on floor puking. It takes 3 months to heal the staples from surgery..6 month's for some. Its hard to get 70 grams of protein in.....hate Soup now. Lol

I was on the 25th. I was on a stall for 7 days. During that stall I lost inches!! I've gone down 2 inches in my waist and one clothes size! The scale is moving in tenths now. I can advance to soft foods in 2 more days and am going to travel to visit my mom for a week. It's about 800 miles by car. Surgeon said I have to get out and walk every hour. I am so greatful that I've had a smooth recovery. Loving this sleeved life! Glad to hear most are doing well and progressing along!!

Hi Everyone.... Had mine on the 26th... no major issues at all. Lost 10 lbs first week and now about 3 lbs a week.... I am on soft foods, just started, still no issues. Walk on treadmill every other day for 20 minutes. Feel like I should be losing more.... but trying to happy with what I have accomplished so far.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
