And Kevin M my angel son was your namesake, if b he hadn't died. he would now be 42
Looking at you on your Harley I can pretend for a millisecond my Kevin was alive and riding with you. And for a brief moment he is with me again. Yes I'm crying 💦but it loosens the band that has been around my 💔 the last 10,and a half. years. You would have liked my Kevin and I'm sure he would have, liked you. Thank you very much for, posting, my friend😪

Frustr8, I am so sorry for your loss. The brotherhood of Kevin's is very strong! Every Kevin I meet is special. Please know that I am sure if I had the opportunity to ride with your son it would have been special and great for us both. After all bikers are a rare breed. Keep strong and I know that is easier said than done. Remember that we are all in this journey for the goal to have better health and a long and full life! Thank you for your post and well wishes.

My son’s name is Kevin as well. He was killed by someone who didn’t Slow Down or Move Over as is the law in MA. He was loading a disabled vehicle onto his flatbed tow truck and was struck and killed instantly by someone who didn’t. He was 22 and my baby. He would be 25 now.

I just got a letter from my insurance co. informing me that I was approved for the surgery. So happy! Just waiting on the Dr. to catch up and schedule me for for a consultation and then the surgery.

So anxious to get started on a healthier me!

Are you having your surgery there in the Nutmeg State? Certainly don't have to go to Boston or into NYC, you probably have Yale-New Haven and such right around the corner. Congratulations and hopeful wishes for the future, my friend.

Thanks so much! I am having it done at Roger Williams in RI- they are actually the closest center for excellence for me. So happy I will be joining the ranks of the losers!!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
