Newbie - Surgery set for 16th October

Recommended Posts

Oh wow that's excellent. You lose weight a bit more rapidly with the gastric bypass than the gastric sleeve right? I think that's what my surgeon said. Have you started eating normal again?? Did you tell many people about your surgery?? I decided that I was only telling my husband, my parents and my sister.

Yea with the gastric you lose it a lot faster ... I kept mine a secret just cause I didn't want anyone to judge me or say that I took the easy rout out ...I only told my mom and dad, I made my stay at the hospital fast I was in Thursday and put Friday morning ...

Yeah I understand about people judging, and even though they might think it's the easy way out its not really. You still need to put in the hard work. It's also hard keeping it a secret, and being able to trust someone enough to talk about what your going through. You can always talk to me if you need to. I might not being going through it just yet but I will be. ????

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
