How to approach the idea of VSG with my PCP?

The letter that she approves my surgery and the reason why other then that nothing else because I already did the blood works

My PCP did that while I was in the room with him. I hope she hurries!

I actually had a pcp that I tried several times to approach about the surgery. Every time I tried he would say we all have issues and would end the appt. This among other things were a reason why I left his practice. Went to my new pcp, and on first appt, told him I needed a referral, and got one. It all depends on the Dr unfortunately. I did have high cholesterol, sleep apnea, and fatty liver.

I was all geared up to get stern with my doctor with a "if you're not on board I need a new doctor" line all raring to go...turns out she knows my surgeon, has several patients who have had the surgery, and even though I personally had no Co morbidity my BMI and family history was enough to get her on board. I say give your doctor the benefit of the doubt but go in with an action plan to back up your decision.
