Internal Pulling

Recommended Posts

I had my sleeve on 9/2. I go back to work tomorrow and I'm so worried it's too early because of this pulling pain. I can't completely stand straight and it's a pulling burning feeling also up and to the left slightly of my belly button. originally I thought it WAS my belly button and that maybe the incision was infected but all my incisions look great ( I have 8 total due to having my gallbladder removed AND a hiatal hernia fixed at the same time). To be honest, the pain started to increase on my second week and sometimes it's so bad I wanna cry. I'm a florist and this is going to really stunt my level of work even more so than I already anticipated :(

2 weeks out, same exact pain, just 2 inches left of the belly button. Sometimes it radiates even deeper almost to my back. I don't have a fever, rapid heart rate, abdominal pain or anything like that.

I have a feeling it happened because I have a nasty habit of stretching out in my bed when I wake up in the morning. I stretch my arms and legs out which causes my abdominal muscles to contract. I do it out of habit and have tried to stop myself from doing so but I am not too concerned to be honest. Sometimes the pain also comes with itchiness which makes me feel like it could be something to do with nerves reconnecting as well.

I have an appointment with a doctor less than a week from now and I will ask him and update my post!! Hopefully everything will be fine.

I'm 4 days post op and I have the largest most painful incision to the right of my belly button. This is where they fed multiple instruments through. Im wearing a binding waist sincher that I got at the hospital and that seems to help.

Hi, Iam 10 days post op and Iam feeling this numbness and burning kind of feeling on the inside of my stomach's left side.. Somewhere around the rib cage. Also I feel this pulling feeling on the left side. Please guide if anyone has an idea about this. Could it be a leak? Should I restrict my stomach's movement, or brisk walks?

I'm day 5 post-op, and am having horrific pain in the sutures to the right of my umbilicus, with it pulling with movement etc. My surgeon said there was a suture to the muscle layer... I'm praying it improves, because I'll be struggling to work with this.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
