ARE THERE ANY OCTOBER/NOVEMBER 2015 SLEEVERS OUT THERE?

Recommended Posts

Hello there!

I'm hoping to have my sleeve op in November here in the UK, is it ok for me to join? I've lost 4lbs & got another 10lbs to go before i can book my date. The only people that know that I'm having a sleeve is my Mum & my partner, it'd be nice to have people to chat to on the run up. I'm excited & nervous all rolled into one!

I am having mine done Oct 26 and it seems like forever. Congratulations on losing the four and I am sure you will do well getting off the rest.

Anyone else November 4th?? I'd love to chat regularly with someone on my exact day :)

ps - our Fall sleevers Facebook page is full! But so many more people want to join a FB group, so someone just needs to start up a new one! It's SOOO easy to do! :) Then post it here and you'll get tons of responses! :)

I'm so glad to have someone to relate with thru this. I don't know about you, but I have been obsessing about it and driving my husband crazy, so it is great to have people who understand it. :)

I tried to respond to you but I don't think I did it right. I am trying to get used to the way things work here. I am so glad to have someone to talk to about this because I know my hubby is tired of hearing all the ideas and thoughts I have on this lol. It is a huge decision and I am spending a lot of time reading up on it and trying to make sure that I know what I should expect. Five weeks seems like forever..

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
