When did you start feeling more energetic?

Recommended Posts

I am so glad to read the responses from others. I had wondered about my energy level but hadn't asked. I am 4 weeks out and just starting to feel normal again. I still have to take a nap in the afternoon and I am going to bed much earlier than I did pre-surgery. I used to be quite a night owl...but now I am in bed by 10pm or earlier. I can tell that I am able to walk for longer periods of time (up to 40 minutes now) and don't dread the walking any more. I still have some days where I don't even want to get dressed...just stay in my jammies and lie around all day and read. So on those days I listen to my body and give in. I know I am still healing and shoudn't push it too much. :P

Its hard to answer this because pre op I was a mess. My Iron levels were so critically low that I had to delay surgery for t weeks of iron Infusions. I was also low on Vitamin D and was given a prescription for it so I pretty much felt like crap most of my pre op time. I am week 7 post op and I still struggle with my energy levels but do feel so much better

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
