Hello, I should be having mine around end of Aug early September. I need my EGD and finish up with the dietitian. I've nervous because I've gained weight since the start of my appts and fear I may not be approved. So I have to lose some weight before next appt, which I will I didn't come this far to for nothing!

Good luck to you.

Why did you give up meat? Post-op, meat will be the most important part of your diet!

well I work about an hour at home so I usually don't get home until after 8pm I was finding that after having such a heavy meal and a decent amount of meat right before bed Always made me feel nauseous with a tummy ache in the AM. However this won't be anything long term, Its just something I wanted to try while detoxing.

I have learnt so much on here already! Naomi I would love that!

Hey! I'm at the same place you are at! I just had my psych eval this morning and all I have left is to attend a support group! It's nice to see someone else going through this at the same time!

HMU if you ever need someone to talk to!

Hey all. I too am tentatively scheduled for October surgery. I'm older than you are but would love to have Ya hold my hand through this. I'm biggest deal is the anathesia. I'm even nervous about having the EGD. It's the meds I'm one that doesn't like my mental state to be altered. Any advise????

@@scamp662 like you I seem to be a little older than some here (46) but age is just a number right? I am nervous also about my EGD test. I have been put under before but just a little apprehensive. Can't wait for it to be done!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
